“My gastroenterologist told me to drop pepper entirely. This is the first one I've used in six years without regretting it.”

Been told to skip the black pepper? Try Nutripepper®
Most grocery pepper is fumigated, irradiated, and cut with fillers — which is why doctors tell sensitive stomachs to avoid it. Ours isn't. Single-origin piperine that digests easily and actually does something.
“The problem was never pepper. The problem was how pepper got to your shelf.” Ground Swell Foods, founders of Nutripepper®
Real kitchens, real stomachs
Why people switch and never switch back
“I take turmeric daily. Adding a pinch of this to my golden milk is the whole reason I bothered — the absorption research sold me.”
“It cracks instead of dusting. You can actually taste individual pepper, not that gray powder smell.”
“We run a 60-seat kitchen. The Refill 4-Pack lives on our line now. Consistent grind, every tube.”
Why it's different
Four reasons this isn't the pepper in your cabinet
Same spice, entirely different supply chain. Here's what changed and why it matters to your gut, your supplement stack, and your food.

It digests easily
Never fumigated, never irradiated
Most imported peppercorns go through mandatory fumigation, and the traditional harvesting method leaves mold on the corn. That's the residue that irritates sensitive digestive systems — and the reason two people in our own family were told by their doctors to give pepper up entirely.
Nutripepper® is processed without fumigants or irradiation. It also stimulates your own digestive juices, helping you break down and absorb what you eat.
“Diverticulitis meant no pepper for three years. I've been using Nutripepper® daily since March with zero issues.”

It makes your supplements work harder
Up to 2000% more curcumin absorbed
Piperine — the active compound in black pepper — was the world's first scientifically validated bioavailability enhancer, identified by Indian researcher C.K. Atal in 1979. In healthy human volunteers, co-administering piperine raised curcumin absorption by up to 2000%.†
17+ compounds absorb better with it
CoQ10, beta-carotene, selenium, vitamin B6, curcumin, amino acids, glucose and more. If you spend money on supplements, this is the cheapest multiplier on the shelf.
Ingredients: black pepper, piperine infused with organic rice.

It tastes like pepper is supposed to
ChefGrind texture — it cracks, it doesn't dust
Pre-ground supermarket pepper is milled fine and stored for months, so the volatile oils are long gone by the time it reaches you. Ours is a coarse chef-grind: you get bite and aroma, not gray powder.
Single-origin, traceable to the farm
Not a blend of whatever cleared customs cheapest this quarter. One origin, one flavor profile, batch after batch.
“Eggs, avocado toast, steak. Three things I already made every week, all noticeably better.”

It's a family company solving a family problem
Built in 2008. Still refining it.
It started in the 1980s. A family member on the Pritikin diet was told to skip black pepper — fumigation residue, mold on the corn. Years later a second family member developed diverticulitis and got the same answer from her doctor.
The world's most popular spice, off the table for two of our own. So we read the research, found the sourcing problem, and in 2008 launched Nutripepper® through our company Ground Swell Foods — working with nutritionists and restaurateurs who care about ingredients the way we do.

Questions
Before you order
How is this different from expensive pepper at a specialty store?
Price isn't the variable that matters — processing is. Plenty of premium peppercorns are still fumigated or irradiated, and almost none disclose it. Nutripepper® is single-origin, never fumigated, never irradiated, with no fillers or anti-caking agents, and we'll send you the Certificate of Analysis if you ask.
I was told to avoid pepper for a digestive condition. Is this safe for me?
That advice usually exists because of fumigation residue and mold from traditional harvesting — which is exactly the problem we built the product around. That said, we're a spice company, not your doctor: if you have a diagnosed condition, run it past them first. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and Nutripepper® is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
How much do I actually use, and how long does 2oz last?
A pinch (about 1/8 tsp) once a day is enough for the absorption benefit when paired with curcumin or other fat-soluble supplements. Cook with it like any high-quality pepper on top of that. For one or two people, a 2oz tube typically runs about a month — which is why the monthly subscription and the Refill 4-Pack exist.
Is the subscription locked in?
No. Subscribers pay $14 instead of $16, get free shipping, and can pause, reschedule, or cancel from the account link in any shipment email. There's no minimum number of deliveries.
What's in it besides pepper?
Black pepper and piperine infused with organic rice. That's the full list — no flow agents, no silicon dioxide, no bulking fillers.
What if I don't like it?
Email us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll refund you in full. No return shipping, no restocking fee, no argument.
